Silliness, to be sure. And in all likelihood my last post today. But a friend of mine just reminded me I did this, so I thought I’d share.

This is my food-related playlist.

Everything on here mentions something food-related in the title or the lyrics. Doesn’t have to actually be about food. Just close enough that I could fake it.

Please feel free to offer your own suggestions. Or just laugh at me. That works too.

  1. You are missing the two greatest food songs EVAR.

“Johnny Saucepan” by Moxy Fruvous and “Dinner Bell” by They Might Be Giants.

Both contain lengthy lists of food, but “Johnny Saucepan” is truly exceptional.

  2. SeanH says:

Cheeseburger in Paradise–Jimmy Buffett, Lunch Lady Land–Adam Sandler, Eat It–Weird Al, Candy Rain–Soul For Real, Chiilin With The Refrigerator and All You Can Eat–Fat Boys… anytthing by MEATLOAF.

  3. Lori says:

I’m a ’40s music junkie. Here’s what I came up with after a quick scan of my iTunes library:
Frim Fram Sauce by Nat King Cole
Java Jive by The Ink Spots
One Meatball by Tony Pastorious (I think. I don’t have it.)
    Angelina by Louis Prima
Yes We Have No Bananas by Louis Prima
Saturday Night Fish Fry by Louis Jordan
Little Brown Jug by Glenn Miller
Rum and Coca-Cola by The Andrew Sisters
If I Knew You Were Coming I’d Have Baked a Cake by Crosby and Hope
Shoo Fly Pie by Dinah Shore

And another dozen that nobody’s heard of, but these are the songs that are actually about food, more or less.
